Meet

Larissa.

The Pet Rescue Expert

To date, Larissa Wohl has helped more than 1,500 animals find their forever homes as well as expanded Hallmark Channel's "Adoption Ever After" initiative.

What started as a small idea back in 2017 has grown into an uber-succesful life-saving mission with Larissa leading the pack.

Larissa is a true pet rescue expert with extensive on-camera and production experience. She coordinates and showcases two adoptable animals every day, as well as producing and hosting numerous pet-parent segments on Hallmark Channel's morning show, Home & Family. She's also part of  the networks highly rated programming such as Kitten Bowl, Cat Bowl, American Rescue Dog Show and Tails of Joy.

But her true passion for animals started 30 (something) years ago!

At a very young age, Larissa and her mother Liz found themselves saving unwanted animals of all sorts. From small to large dogs, dozens of rabbits and many stray cats, the Wohl household quickly became the “go-to” haven for animals in need.

During her teen and college years, Larissa furthered her interest in animals by becoming active in animal welfare issues and volunteering at local shelters.

Pulling over to corral a lost dog, emergency runs to the California Wildlife Center, or jumping into a shopping mall pond to save a baby duck was all in a days work!

As a news anchor, field reporter and journalist, Larissa became the local animal expert in every news market she resided.

She uncovered a local animal dumping ground in Arizona, introduced the world to issues plaguing Central California shelters, and highlighted the importance of helping senior dogs in San Diego.
Larissa’s life mission became clear… use her voice to help the voiceless.

Follow her online to catch all the adoptable animals and hysterical "behind the scene" moments!

Larissa'sPups

Larissa currently has three rescue pups named Muppet, Maple & Piggly. All three are spoiled to bits although they do oftentimes have to share the house with a foster animal (or two)!

Muppet & Maple were rescued  in L.A. from Hand in Paw Rescue & Larissa is convinced they're both OTHER animals in disguise. Muppet is a secret lamb while Maple is actually a sloth. They have the cutest faces and bring Larissa hours of entertainment.

Piggly is an albino malti-poo, rescued through Saving K9 Lives Plus Rescue. Piggly was originally found living in horrible conditions and being completely ignored by her family. Thank goodness she was saved and given the medical attention she needed.

All three of Larissa's dogs are what (we rescuers) affectionately call "Foster Failures..." meaning you attempt to foster but end up adopting instead!

That said, Larissa considers herself a TRUE WINNER and says her life changed the day she welcomed all her babies into her life!

Watch Pet Rescue Expert, Larissa, on Hallmark Channel's Home & Family TV.
